CHC AW139 Helicopter Achieve 5,000 Hours Milestone
AgustaWestland has announced that an AW139 medium twin helicopter operated in the Netherlands by the CHC Helicopter group of companies is the first to achieve the milestone of 5,000 flying hours. CHC is the largest AW139 operator worldwide with 34 units in service or on order.

Dassault Aviation announced its participation in the fifth international business aviation exhibition JET EXPO 2010 to be held on September 15-17, 2010 in Moscow. Dassault Aviation will present their Falcon 7X and Falcon 2000 LX at the static display at Vnukovo-3.

Korea National Police Agency Takes Delivery Of An AW119Ke
AgustaWestland and UI International has announced that the Korea National Police Agency (KNPA) has recently taken delivery of an AW119Ke single engine helicopter. The aircraft will perform law enforcement duties. The contract was signed in August 2009 by the Korean Public Procurement Services in order to support an on-going programme to modernize the police helicopter fleet.

Hawker Beechcraft Delivers First Special Mission King Air Turboprop to Russia
Hawker Beechcraft Corporation (HBC) announced that it has delivered the first Beechcraft King Air series turboprop in Russia. Designed for quick conversion from VIP transportation to photographic missions, a specially modified King Air 350 with provisions for dual digital mapping cameras was recently accepted by Vasilly Popov on behalf of Aviation & Applied Ecology of Moscow.

Bombardier Aerospace today announced that it received firm orders for four Global Express XRS jets from undisclosed customers based in Russia. The total value of the orders is approximately $ 213 million US, based on the 2010 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

John Travolta among VIPs flying in for the World Cup - ExecuJet
Actor and pilot John Travolta was among the first VIPs to pass through the ExecuJet FBO at Lanseria for the Soccer World Cup. He landed with his Boeing 707 from Buenos Aires and was accompanied by his wife, actress Kelly Preston and daughter Ella to lend support to the Australian national team. Travolta then held a press briefing in the ExecuJet VIP lounge.

JETNET Releases May 2010 Pre-Owned Business Jet and Turboprop Aircraft and Helicopter Market Information
Although the high inventory levels seen in much of 2009 for pre-owned business jet aircraft are gradually being reduced, pre-owned business jets remain in a “buyer’s” market. At the end of May 2010, the percentage of preowned business jets for sale of 15.3% compared to 17.4% in May 2009 (recorded in July 2009) is down 2.1 percentage points. The number of business jets for sale at the end of May 2010 was slightly less than 2,700 aircraft, compared to nearly 2,900 a year ago.

Ornge Takes Delivery Of The First FIPS-Equipped AW139 EMS
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Ornge of Ontario, Canada, has taken delivery of the first of ten AW139 medium twin helicopters. The helicopters are being produced at AgustaWestland’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania production facility. The contract includes an option for two additional aircraft.
